I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
